A Lily Among The Thorns

Jesus was the fairest flower
A lily among all the thorns,
And as He hung upon the cross
His loved ones sadly mourns,

He was a lily among the thorns
That was crucified upon a tree,
His beauty of such love divine
And He died for you and me,

He was a lily among the thorns
That shined so very bright,
It was all in Gods perfect plan
So we could be pure and right,

He was a lily among the thorns
With Gods light shining on Him,
A lily that rose to life again
When He had paid for all our sin

Yes a lily among the thorns
Is what He was for you and I,
He took our place upon that day
So we wouldn't have to die.
